business card holders are always great sellers and so easy to make from scraps.

Baby bibs and matching burpers are always a hot seller for me ... especially those embroidered with "I Love Grandma." :D

I made some dog toys, called them Flat Man Jack, (just a large gingerbread cookie shape I cut out of paper for the pattern.) Used old jeans for the top, fleece for the back. Sewed them around the outside edges and about 3/8 of an inch inside and kept sewing until all the toy was sewn which makes them hard for the dog to rip up. Also made a recipe of dog cookies (find them on the internet) and lots of people bought both. The remainder was given to the family dogs who were very pleased that there were leftovers. I think glitzy dog collars and spiffy leashes would go too. I once made mice out of an old gray sweatshirt and stuffed them with stuffing and catnip and added a leather shoestring piece for a tail. One lady bought one and was at the door the second day to buy all the rest of them. She said her cat went crazy and slept with its paws on the mouse. You just never know what will sell. Sometimes its one thing, and sometimes another. If you make it out of scraps you can't lose!

Wow! Those are so neat! Another idea - some really cute bibs, perhaps using simple colouring book shapes as appliques.

I posted this on the oven dress thread. My friend got a jar gripper for Christmas. The lady took a square of the rubberized shelf liner with the holes. She then crocheted around it. Voila a jar lid gripper to help loosed those stuck lidsMy mother was in an extended care facility and the cook there made her the cutest "bibs". They look just like little aprons. She isn't embarrased to wear them they are so cute.
