Smile If I see it & I like it, I'm gonna buy it!

I understand the moratoriums on fabric purchases, but I respectfully decline to participate.
Do I need fabric? No. Am I going to buy it if I want it? Yup! I am lucky as there's a place near by that sells donated fabric and artsy craftsy stuff at a significantly reduced rate as well as many LQS! I will also agree to continue participating in shop hops therefore ensuring the small businesses stay in business!

Removes self from soap box.

Good for you! Thanks for the laugh! Last year I was on the "if I like it I'm gonna buy it" train. This year I'm on the moratorium train. I do allow myself to purchase fabric to complete a project. In fact I already need to buy brown or pink to finish an UFO. Next year I will be back on the buying train.

I don't think anyone here is in a position to call you a "hoarder"... LOL.

If I want it, can afford it, it's mine. I am not a make do type person, been there, it wasn't a place I wanted to stay.

I agree. I pulled 5 fabric from my stash and I will need another 4 to make this quilt. So I have been shopping online.

Yes, we have a Fabric Moratorium challenge thread, however, if you read the posts you will see that although we are trying to shop our stash first, there's still a whole lot of buying going on . Just trying to cut down on impulse buys. Again, trying is the operative word. We have lots of lovely pictures of brand new and thrift shop fabric purchases, along with projects made from our stash.

I am using mostly from my stash but if there is a special fabric that comes along, I buy 3 yds. To many times I've looked high and low for a particular line that NOW I want and it is nowhere to be found.

GUILTY also. I just bought a few yards of fabric--Jan. 2 to be exact. By a "few" yards, I'm meaning 16-17 yds. It was on sale, what can I say? My LQS was having a pre inventory sale and I couldn't resist. Maybe I should have my car keys taken away. That wouldn't be as much fun. My DH always asks how much I spent when I come home from the LQS, and this time I answered truthfully $25.00. I forgot to tell him I had a gift card. That doesn't count when you are shopping does it? lol
