    Hello all

I have a 19 yr old Grandson who wants a quilt. He has picked the colors of ocean blue, lime green and black.I would like ideas for a young mans quilt with three colors.

    Thanks,
    Daisy Dell

I have been working 'for some time' on a top which will eventually have 13 blocks, each with 70 or so pieces, comprised of six different fabrics. It's scrappy, so by the time it is done, maybe 50 different fabrics. I am not very decisive about colour combos........ Oh, and the basic piece is a kite shape, and about half of them need fussy cutting....... Never mind supplies, you'd need to lock me in there for quite some time to get the pieces cut and laid out! It would be good not to have little feet walking across my 'design floor' for a while- and my sewing room has a nice garden view so I could get inspired by nature....... I even have a place to hang my ironing, which I would have to get out of the way first!

I would die before I ran out of fabric, but I would run out of batting. Could I get some M&Ms to keep me company while I am locked up?

It would take me 20 years to use up every scrap--I'd run out of batting after about 15 quilts, so someone would have to toss some through a window. grin. Actually I would probably be dead before its all used up. Keep telling my kids my stash is their inheritance.

I just got 9 totes of fabric to add to my other 5 - I hope I live that long! After vacation - I'm gonna get busy!

Would they bring me in bread and water? Don't know what or how much I'd come up with, but sure as shootin' I would have a really good time.

Not sure about the 100 figure, but agree with the rest of the "necessary" things as well as potty break time.
