That seems a little high. I now have 3 featherweights, and didn't pay that much for all 3 combined.

NOOOO...I just bought one (a couple of months ago) on eBay for $275. Works great, paint job is perfect, has all attachments except the buttonhole maker, original case in good condition. I'm going to have my sewing tech give it a check up soon, but I've been sewing along on it.

No; not even if I had just won the biggest lottery. That is so over priced

No way would I spend that much. My husband got Maggie and Marvin for less than $400. for both and they are beautiful children. Keep looking.

No, I bought one on ebay for about $165. Great shape. It's usually easier to buy one for less during the week. Prices go up when auction ends on weekend.

No, you can get much better prices on ebay or Craigslist. $800 is way out of line IMHO. Do your research, don't buy the first one you see. I still don't have one but have missed out on some good ones on ebay for less that $200 ... but if I had joined the bidding I know the price would have gone up, LOL

I agree I wouldn't pay that much. You can get them on e-bay or craigslist alot cheaper. I found mine at a yard sale for $10.00, but it took me a couple of years. I got all the attachments with it, but the manual I had to download from a site. She purrrrrs like a kitten. :)
