If you were "fabric needy" - what is the smallest size scrap that you could use?

I used a 1/2" piece of fabric about an hour ago. I accidentally cut off the corner of a HST more then 1/4". I was out of that fabric to make another. I sewed the 1/2" scrap dug out of the trash bin from trimming up of the HSTs and it worked perfectly.

Did someone say tiny, miniature, how small can you go????
I'm using pieces that are 1", some that are 1/2" for my miniatures.
Even 3/8" strips!
Depends on the demand for my mini storage and availability I have as to how long I'll need them that small.
I used to toss out the tiny pieces, and wonder about the miss-cut, and miss-sewn block pieces. Now I use those too!
I really need to get working on my bigger quilts again, but minis have taken over. Somehow by doing minis my sewing room has gotten smaller too. How did THAT happen?

I square up my larger pieces of fabric then cut the leftover scraps into quilting pieces 2" or larger, however the scrap "speaks to me." I have a series of skinny drawers where I store the scraps by size. I have used those cut pieces many times already and I just organized everything last December. Happy organizing!

I save everything. I use the strips and make string quilts. All sizes and colores, put toghether and when big enough can make squares or diamonds etc. My scrappy quilts are my pride and joy and everyone wants one. lol My kids and gk and ggk all watch and say Nana this one is mine. Jolo

Fabric is fabric. I save most anything I cut off, and I put the pieces in ziploc bags by color, and when I need something of that particular color I dump out the bag, rummage through it and get something. I do paper piecing, and sometimes size doesn't matter!! :>) Like others, I hate to toss anything out!
