My 10 siblings think I'm crazy or eccentric. However, they have all asked for a quilt.
Hubby doesn't mind my addiction. He pretty much knows where he can find me - in my sewing room.
I see quilting as an investment in my sanity. It feeds my creative soul, lowers my stress and makes me happy.

My quilting saved my sanity at the lowest points in my life. When my daughter died from a head injury 7 yrs ago & when my mother died & my husb. died (of a massive stroke) within wks. of ea. other 2 yrs. ago. I really lost it for awhile but my quilting got me through somehow. I cried my way through many stitches.
Just reading how obsessed you all are with quilting lets me know it isn't just me. I guess I'm all right after all. Spending so much time on here with all of you shores me up during some very lonely times.
Please don't anybody be sad by my story. Let's just go to our sewing machines & make something pretty that will make us happy.

I love your avatar picture. I once had a wallhanging like it in pink but must have sold it in a garage sale. Of course that was before I started quilting. Now I wish I had a pattern for it. Guess I didn't appreciate all the work that had gone into it.
