Paper piecing is another subject, though .... LOVE LOVE LOVE that disease .... and hope I'm never cured! :-D

I love paper piecing but don't like applique. Don't understand why. I don't mind cutting and putting it on, just don't like having to attach it. Paper piecing is different to me. You sew it on and you're done. Each to his own I guess.

I love applique! I feel more creative with that than sewing little pieces together for hours on end. I do get bored when I satin stitch tho...but there is always a new piece to attach and then...beautiful things appear!

Although I am totally cured, I WILL persevere and attend the remaining sessions....just to make sure. Some of the applique pieces I am being forced to cut and attach to my quilt blocks are smaller that a pea, and as thin as a toothpick. Yup....I am cured. :lol:
