Congratulations! I, too, am cured of the same disease. I HATE hand sewing, and can't picture myself with enough patience to try machine applique.

Paper piecing is another subject, though .... LOVE LOVE LOVE that disease .... and hope I'm never cured! :-D

I love paper piecing but don't like applique. Don't understand why. I don't mind cutting and putting it on, just don't like having to attach it. Paper piecing is different to me. You sew it on and you're done. Each to his own I guess.

I love paper piecing but not the english kind. I agree though I do not like applique when it involves tiny pieces.

Trying applique is my New Year's resolution. I'm starting with big, big pieces. My new machine does a great blanket stitch. I really like paper piecing.

I like applique with fusible on it only. Really dislike hand work of any kind, so I doubt I'll ever try any other kind of applique. It's lovely, just not for me to do!

I admire others for undertaking this task and enjoy seeing their quilts.

I love applique! I feel more creative with that than sewing little pieces together for hours on end. I do get bored when I satin stitch tho...but there is always a new piece to attach and then...beautiful things appear!

I love hand applique, machine applique not so much, detest paper-piecing. That's what I love about quilting - there's something for everyone,

LOL, this is why I stick with fusible applique only!
