They use a washable pencil to draw out the entire top so when you are finished quilting it you would just wash it and then they would all be gone.

Good for you Kelly, did you meet her at retreat? My aunt used to do a lot of whole cloth quilts, she made them in pale shades and different colours on bottom so they were reversible.

Did a hand quilted one several years ago, but it was only a baby size. Still looked good, all white with 4" eyelet lace on the scalloped edge. Great at the baptism.
