Thanks again to all! You have made this even more exciting for me, if possible! A special thanks for all the photos and the drawing! All of your suggestions have been more helpful than you can imagine! I'm just about able to wrap my head around all this now, and am starting to put it all together in my mind! I will try to post photos when it is done. Blessings and hugs to all!

It is so nice to have your own place for sewing.

I would say it's a good idea to have a dedicated cutting table. I tend to stack things at the back of mine and it grows to the point that I have to clean it off. I guess that goes hand in hand with having adequate storage to begin with. Have fun in your new space.

That's what I still need for my room, thanks. Remember when you have your own room you can have all your favorite things around you. It's wonderful.

I have a small office/sewing room. I bought a roll around cabinet with 8 drawers and top that extends out. I also bought a rolling wardrobe and I use hangers and clips for my current project. Everything else is stored in the small closet -- I put a bookcase in there, and in the file cabinets that are holding up the kitchen counter I use to sew on. It works.

Nice hubby! Nate Berkus ALWAYS says to use vertical storage in small areas. It's nice to be able to work in one special
spot and not have to put things away all the time. Have fun!
