My first quilt show was the Dallas Quilt Guild's show and I was almost overwhelmed by all the quilts. I've been to many since then in our area hosted by other quilt guilds and they are all great, but the first one really has remained with me in my mind. Unfortunately I did not leave my purse at home and bought a Bernina machine that I had been wanting for several years. Still have it.

How was it????

The first quilt show I ever went to was at our church--former church. They had one for years and I helped set things up one year--and a few years after that. I put some of my small items in once, then a quilt in later. I always loved the lunches! :-D

I've never been to a quilt show that wasn't in a church or a school gymnasium. They were still fun though. One of my quilts last year won 3rd in Viewer's Choice, another took 11th. That was thrilling.

I love looking at photos folks post of these shows--almost like being there.

You'll love it!! They are so fun & inspiring. Don't buy a lot of stuff without thinking about it...the impulse buys are usually stuff that sit in a drawer for years before you use it!! Ask me how I know this..... :-P
