I'm making a minky quilt but need direction to proceed
I am asking if anyone has done this with a quilt.
I have a pattern with squares of cotton and squares with minky on the top. The borders will be minky also. The back is minky. Could it work to take this to my long arm quilter and have her sandwich the quilt with batting inside so I don't need to bind my quilt?
What complications do you see with this approach? Would the long armer be tempted to charge me more for the effort it will be for her? I guess I just need to ask her.
Would anyone try this?

You need to discuss this with the longarm quilter, some may be willing. I take it you plan to put it together right sides together, stitched & turned right side out? One problem would be the fullness while ( trying) to quilt it. One thing you would need to do is choose a batting ( like warm & natural) that allows maximum space between quilting lines-- anything that needed dense quilting (2-4") would be really difficult.
