I think I'm losing my mind---and I have the pictures to prove it.

Couple weeks ago, after finishing my last project, I decided to clean my sewing machine. I took the throat plate off, removed the bobbin dealie, cleaned in, around, & underneath. Went to put it all back together & could not find the bobbin-thing. My husband & searched everywhere, even the garbage--3 times!

Still baffled I put everything away. Until today. Determined to solve the mystery I searched again. Take a look at what I found.

The missing part

Where I found it

I've done things like that, but I'm scared to admit it.

Sometimes I feel that I should check into getting a keeper, I do such stupid things!! But when in public, I merely smile and shake my head gently when someone else admits to doing such things.
Who? Me? NO way...and if anyone sees me doing it, please take a vow of silence. My kids are worried enough about me living by myself.

That makes me feel a LOT better! I spent over a year searching for a missing WIP-- a quilted vest--which I found last week in the china hutch where we store the old VHS tapes!since our VHS player is dead, I had NO reason to look in there.....the SW print I also tore the house apart looking for was there too--yep, it is scary!

I've done that, but I know that it's that for/now guy that's doing it to me. I'll put it here for/now and then can't find it 2 sec's later. lee

Been there, done that. The other day I went to get some wonder under for an applique I was doing. Now I know that I have at least 5 yards of it .......somewhere. Have not found it yet, Gave up and went and bought some more. Next time I'm looking for something else it will turn up.

I laughed hysterically at this. I loved the way you posted it, as my computer screen only showed your missing part, and I had to curse down to continue reading.
Rest assured many of us have done something equally as absent minded, just be glad you found it before taking your machine in to a machine repairman, who would have found it for you!
