I would like to second the circle suggestion. My daughter appliques circles on quilts often (just because she likes circles), and they really add so much dimension.

I know this will sound like the ultimate sin, but I had a baby quilt do that the day before the shower. I used "okay to wash it" glue. Put it on a toothpick and ran a line down every seam. Never did hear if it fell apart later, though.

 What is a Purple Thang? Too old for stilettoes! Maybe a small knitting needle would work. I will definitly try it. And the circles are a good idea too. I just don't think I have enough matching fabric to do more than the binding.

There's also a stiletto at the bottom of the page.

The material is all the same kind. Ihate to think of it coming apart in other places. But if the wonderunder and the fray check works I will at least have some extra to fix them. BTW thanks for all of the suggestions. I just love this board. :D I found out about it from the How-To-Quilt newsletter.

I've used invisible thread on frays, sewing "in the ditch" over the fraying. You can't see it and it leaves an extra layer to keep it together.
