Default Info Please Pfaff DM owners

I was wondering if any of you do free motion quilting on your machines, on or off a frame? If so, have you ever done it using rulers like long armers, to get curved or straight lines when quilting? What foot are you using if you are using rulers? I have seen a modified fmq foot for use with rulers, but it is $70.00 which is a little above my budget. I almost forgot, I have a Pfaff Quilt Expression 2.0 not the 4.0. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks
Linda

Sorry, have never used rulers on my DSM. I just drew lines with the rulers which made it easier for me to follow. Iused an old hint from when my son was in Jr. High shop class: don't look where you are but are where you are wanting to end up. That made it easier for me to do.

I got a modified ankle for my QE4...and use it with the dynamic spring foot. Maybe email greg at [email protected] to see if he could help you. My modified ankle was only about $25, and I love it by the way.
