Low cost %100 wool blanket?
Been looking around and Pendleton Wool seems to have the least expensive wool blanket with any sort of real reputation.
Anyone have experience between say --Hudson Bay--, --Pendleton--, --Faribaultmill--?
If Pendleton is lowest cost, is it really lowest quality. I here Hudson Bay is the raining king, but how much below if at all is Pendleton?

All three have been very good quality. I suppose there might be differences in the thickness of the wool today. But I'm allergic to wool, so I haven't looked at any in stores lately. I just know about the blankets we have in our family.

Hudson Bay and Pendleton are both top of the line for wool blankets... I would not consider them to be low cost. I have blankets made by both companies , and have been in use for 40 years and will go another 40 as they both look like the day I got them. If you are looking to use for a quilt batting , its a cheaper option to buy wool batting.

I promised myself that when I have my own house I would buy a Hudson Bay Blanket. I have a house 5 years now, but kids are little, dogs are crazy and I just do not have that much money right now, BUT if I did, I would buy the Bay blanket. It's a classic! However, every time we go back home to Canada, I go to the local Bay and admire them. One of these days I am going to snap and buy one. Good luck choosing!
