Insul-fleece for lifters?

the definition Insul-Fleece
Metalized mylar is layered between polyester fleece to create a high-quality barrier that reflects heat or cold
Sounds like just the thing to use for your oven mitts.

We made potholders for years with flannel inside and they worked just fine. I see no reason why your fleece would not work just as well. I know the insulbrite is the "in" thing but I think it is pretty expensive. Most of my potholders are a couple of layers of warm and natural batting and we use them quite successfully for any of our hot pots/pans, etc. When I use the insulbrite, I pair it with a layer of regular batting, rather than using 2 layers of insulbrite. Guess there are as many ways to make potholders as there are folks making them. Have fun making yours.
