I was walking around the store and this thing caught my eye. Its technically a flower pot but I'm sure with a little creativity it could become useful in the sewing room

that is really neat! there is a lot you can do with that....I even like the flower pot idea. Something that does not need a lot of care.

That's cool. I think I will get one to use for thread scraps etc in my sewing room. Love the thimble look.

It just so happens I have to go pick up one of my sewing machines at Joann's this morning. I will have to look for one of those. It would make a cute thread catcher in my sewing area. I need more doodads sitting around

It would be great for holding scissors, small rulers, seam rippers, etc. near the sewing machine. I use a mug right now for those things. But, will look for this next time I am in JoAnns. Unfortunately I have to travel to get to one.

I bought it in two sizes...So far I've used them for a catchall (pencil, seam ripper etc.), and as a small flower holder (just put a little vase inside and then put the flowers in it.) But my favorite use was to put a l a little tissue paper in the bottom and then put a tub of cream cheese in it to serve muffins to my quilt bee. Top of tub was level with top of thimble....Right now, I have one holding a collection of fall leaves (fall comes late to Texas).

I can think of alot of ways to put that to use in the sewing room! Nice find.
Where are you in Alaska...we lived in Anchorage for 31 years before leaving there 10 yrs. ago. Loved it and miss it! Just don't miss the winters!

Boo Hoo! My Joann's didn't have any. I searched that store high and low....twice. Check out my new thread, "I did my part". Wait, not yet, I haven't posted it yet.

I bought one a while back. I thought it was just too cute to pass up. I padded the bottom inside and keep my scissors, seam ripper, magnetic wand and other notions in it to keep handy by my machine.
