sorry this happend!
I have an Ipad and find it very secure. You also can go into your main menu and set up locks on certain things. You have to give a password to add an app. When my little neighbor is here and we use the Ipad I never allow him to have sole use of it. We as adults have to monitor these things.

That's terrible. You should refute this charge. I hope you can get it reversed. Let us know how it turns out.

I saw a story on the news similar to what happened to you. It seems that when you enter your password....someone can still download things for 20 minutes AFTER that time without entering it again! So....for instance...you are just doing updates to your apps and you enter your password, then you are finished. Your kid picks up your phone/ipod/ipad after you are finished, but within the 20 minutes- they can download anything without re-entering your password. Thats what they were saying on the news story. I had NO idea about that!

That's exactly right. Companies who sell apps are under contract and are separate entities from Apple. If you call Apple, they will refer you to the app people.

Just log out and you don't have to worry about the 20 minute problem

This little girl will hear of this happening when she gets older. It'll be funny THEN. Sorry that happened.

I hope you talked to her about using the IPAD.
Sometimes they don't realize what they are doing. I would not let my 12 yr old grandson come near my computer when he was visiting for a couple of weeks.

She was actually in the free app which was a Barbie type shopping app, and I guess when she was in there, she was able to purchase coins to use in the Barbie shop without my password. She did not know they cost real money, I think the app maker should be more vigilent with these childrens games. I still have not had a response from ITunes, still waiting.

One of the first things in the iPad guide tells how to set restrictions. The problem we have been talking about here is In App purchases which you don't need a password for if the restriction for it isn't set.
