Default Irish Chain Quilt Block Sizes

I’m in the middle of making a Irish chain quilt for a dear friend going through chemo. I’m incorporating bible verses from all 6 family members. Unfortunately I didn’t think this through very well and made the blocks too big. I need help with how to redesign this without completely starting over. I made the blocks 18” and thinking about resizing the blocks with the verses to 12” or 14”. Please help me determine what size the blocks with chain blocks need to be.

If you want a 12" finished block (unfinished 12.5"), your nine patch chain blocks you will need to cut your fabrics at 4.5" x wof or 4.5" squares. 14" finished block would be a little tricky. If you want a 13.5" finished block (unfinished 14") use 5" squares.
