Lucky for me where I have to plug mine in the cord blocks my path to get out so I have to unplug it to leave the room. It is a cheap $8.00 iron from Dollar General.

If you do a search on this fabulous board, you will find many discussions and suggestions about irons.

I have a shark and I love it, if I leave it for awhile, the temperature will cool down a little, but, start to iron and it goes back up. If it goes all the way down, just shake it.
It works for me, don't mind waiting a few extra seconds

Yup, I got a Proctor Silex from Walmart, $7.00 and no shut off.
