By the time I'm done organizing I am too tired to start the project. I spend more time looking for stuff than I spend sewing. Guess it is time to really get a system so I will remember where I put my stuff. This board is better than therapy. It is so good to hear this is not just me. LOL

I have spent a good part of my morning looking for some Sue blocks. I remember them being on my table in June.....now I cannot find them. I went thru my drawers, looked in my scrap box, my dresser drawers, everywhere I can think of. I found the scraps I had left from cutting her dresses but no blocks! I had them all laid out and pinned to the muslin blocks ready to be sewn. I am so frustrated with this! I hate not being able to find something when i want it!

Look in the linen closet. Maybe it got mistaken for a folded sheet?

I do that all the time. I lost the fabric I bought for SIL bowling quilt. Of course I found it after I bought other fabric and finished the quilt. Now what am I going to do with it. Sigh. You are not alone.

Isn't that the way it always goes!

You guys are making me feel so much better knowing I'm not the only one who does this.

Once we discovered our youngest son (age 2) was missing from the living room and got all our friends involved scouring all over the neighborhood. With no luck after an hour, I decided to call the police. I went into my house to make the call, felt a little chilly, so opened the closet door to grab my lightweight jacket and found my son sound asleep in a cardboard box full of small toys we kept downstairs for the kids. We still laugh about it today, even though he just turned 40. Whenever he leaves the room, someone is bound to say, "Oh no, Scott is missing! Quick call the police...Oh wait...check to see if he's still asleep in the closet!"

I've done that so many times. The worst was when I lost the IRR top I was working on. I lost it twice.
