And, if they do have an opinion, it's usually so contrary to yours that you're the one left with the glassy stare and pinched mouth!!

So, what's the difference? I bought her two shirts today and now I want some fabric. I shouldn't feel guilty about buying more when she has the same problem. So, do I ignore her and purchase my fabric? I say, heck yes!!
You go girl !!! I'm absolutely with you. When we were raising our girls, my dh & I did without more times than I care to remember & now it's finally "our time". If I want more fabric (& can afford it) then that's exactly what I am going to do & I don't really lose sleep over what others think. I really don't make many quilts for us so everyone else really benefits from my "stash" of over abundant fabric.

This scenario reminds me of something my mom used to say: "Whose the mama?!" Don't let your daughter (or anyone else) put you on a guilt trip. Enjoy your new fabric!
