Default Janome 15000?

A friend of mine just made arrangements to trade in her Janome 11000(I think that is right) for the 15000 model. She got a real good deal and I was just wondering if anyone on the board has one and their comments about ease of operation.

I just wanted to add.....The reason I ask is that she will be asking me questions or want me to come get her started like she has about her new serger! She is a sweet and generous friend. I feel like I was some influence in the purchase of this machine because I thought it would be simpler for her to do with the I-pad-like screen. I know I am not too clear, in spite of being too 'wordy'. Just curious about anyone's experience with the machine. Thank you!

I absolutely love mine. It has a lot of features, but it takes very little learning to get started sewing. The manual is good, but there is an ap called JANOME 15000 for the iPad and iPhone that is wonderful. It is full of videos to show you how to use the machine features.

The authors, Jim and Diane Stutsman, also have a Yahoo group, Janome 12000, 15000 that is wonderful. They formerly had a Janome shop and have a wealth of information they willingly share. Jim is funny and so helpful.

My quilting friend bought a 15000 last summer. She was a Bernina owner before that! but I have the 11000 so she asked for some help and let me come over to her studio and play with the 15000. I am in love and when I can afford one I will be buying one. Since your friend already has the 11000 she should not have a problem, without even looking at the manual I was able to get started sewing and embroidering!

I picked my 15000 up Friday! Oh how I love her, let me count the ways! It is user friendly to me any way I was up sewing and embroidering within an hour. With your friends experience with the 11000 she will have problems at all. I have never paid so much for a machine but I love love love her!!
