Smile Janome 6600P

I just had to write because I am so excited. Nooo, I didn't get a new machine for Christmas. My Janome is about 5 years old and I love it. I've been having trouble with my right leg and that's the one I use for the peddle and the knee lift. Well, the Janome 6600 has a start/stop button that has made my sewing sew much easier. I disconnected the knee lift and use the old fashioned one on the back of the foot thingy. I know other machines probably have the same things that can be done with them, but I have this one and it is super for me. Also a great stitch.

Good for you. I'm glad you are able to still sew. There are always ways around to help us. We just need to get creative.
I have a knee lift for both of my machines I use all the time. I don't use them, they just get in my way. I just raise the lever with my hand.

sharon - b/c of back injuries i cant use the foot pedal w/my right foot...but i have been able to use my left foot...it took awhile to get used to it..but i find i sit up straighter....i went under my table, used those stick on clip organizers and ran the pedal cord to the left so im not tripping on it...see if that may work for you..it does take a little getting used to but it was worth it for me..
