Default HELP! Am thinking about selling my Pfaff Creative Vison Emb machine

How do I determine how much it is worth?? Is there a BLUE BOOK for machines? I am just not using the embroidery part. Expensive machine for piecing.. tons of fun stitches that I am not using either.. Then there is the question of what to replace it with? I have 2 older Bernina's that I love so probably should look @ new ones. Lots of my friends have different models of Janomes. some are happy with them some are not... What a dilemma! not in any hurry so I await your advice ........ Thanks!

I'd suggest you at least try the embroidery portion of the CV before trying to sell or trade. You'll never recoup what you spent. Better to try it first and then decide.

I wasn't using my embroidery machine much til I wanted to make my own customized embroidered quilt labels. Short version: I'm keeping the machine. I know that one day I'll do more with it.

I usually look on ebay. You can look at the current listings, but you really don't know if people are going to pay the $$ in the listing, so I always look at the completed transactions. If you are selling locally you can add in the shipping charges. You can also check your local Craig's list.

I would call a local Pfaff dealer and ask if they have any used machines for sale and ask the price of them. Know that they get more interested buyers than you will get selling from home, but maybe Craig's list or an ad in the local paper or on a bulletin board at the local quilt shop will attract a buyer.
