I just ordered my machine from Madriver's dealer. $2250 including shipping. He said he can no longer match the $2000 he sold it for to Madriver and her mom. I was fine with the $2250. By the way, other dealers are also selling it for $2199 including shipping. (Found this out 10 minutes too late, but I really like the owner of the company in FL). Also, he shipped it out today and there is no sales tax since I don't live in Florida. That saved me $150 right there. I can hardly stand it, I'm so excited to get my new machine.

I've been really interested to read the posts on the Janome Horizon 7700. I bought one 2 years ago and had endless trouble with it. It sewed beautifully but when I came to FMQ, it didn't want to know! It went back to my dealer but, on return, was no different. In the end, I traded it in for the new Bernina Series 7 B750 Quilters Edition. I've always had Janomes in the past (and still have the 1100 and love it) but the Bernina is a dream machine for FMQing! I, too, have wondered why Janome has dropped the Horizon so soon!

I haven't checked this thread in a long time and see that people have asked me for my dealer. So sorry I missed these posts! I am PM'ing everyone who asked with the information. If anyone else wants it, just PM me so that way I get an email message from the Quilting Board letting me know that someone needs information.

The Janome 8900 has built in fonts. How many letters can you program in when using this feature? I'm interested in being able to "sign" quilts using that feature, but if you can only program 3 or 4 at a time, it would be cumbersome to use.
