Default Jellyroll Day

Today is national Jellyroll Day!

have you made a Jelly Roll? Quilt or otherwise?

I have never made a quilt using a Jelly roll, but have decided to do it today. Will show progress.

Here’s one I recently finished. Does that count?

Can I play?

I made a jelly roll lap quilt but forgot to take a photo of it but this is the matching cushion I made from the left-over pieces.

Moira, the matching quilt must be stunning.

Too busy studying today to quilt. No quilting at all for the rest of the year.

I agree with Tothill, the matching quilt must be beautiful.
Tothill, that is great you are graduating from University. My mother went to college in the 50s after 4 kids and I was born while she was in college. Never too late to go to school.

Through with stitching and pressing ready to cross-cut strips.

As a matter of fact, I just happen to be working on a JR quilt. It's my first in the sense of using a bona fide precut roll, but not in using 2.5" strips (I made a baby quilt years ago of my own fabric selections).

This one is awaiting the remaining 3 B's--batting, backing, and binding. I bought flannel backing yesterday and still need to wash and dry it before I use it.

Bizz Buzz Border?
