Does anyone use this machine for quilting? I have tried to use the quilter included with the machine and it continually gets loose because it is round and can't stablize with the screw. I also need to know which foot should be used to machine quilt....it doesn't acutually have a quilt foot listed, but indicated that one should use the basic foot with the feed dogs down. How do you suggest that I quilt using this machine?

You need a walking foot for straight line quilting and a Daring foot for Free Motion quilting.

You can also google the machine model and it may give you the manual to dl. Are you sure your assembling the foot on correctly?

Janome's have a great manual with them. They have very good explanations and pictures. Your manual is your machine bible.Like Sandilee said, make sure that it is in right. The foot may be stated as the embroidery or darning foot. You can always buy a proper foot from any Janome dealer. All their feet are interchangeable.
