Cool Extension tables for Jenome

I am finding that I need a larger level platform for quilting with my domestic machine, a Janome S5.
Has anyone had experience and can give advice about entension tables? Best size? Positives? Negatives? Purchase of a resale table?

I got the Sew Steady "giant" extension table for my Crescendo. It is 24"x32". It's the largest table that Sew Steady makes and the opening is custom cut for which ever machine you have. I love it and for me it is the best next thing to having a table with an opening to insert your machine.

I have the largest they make to use with my Juki TL98QE and it works really well. I bought it for a different machine. Luckily we knew a man that had a water Jet and he cut the hole larger to fit this Juki. I made him a quilt as a thank you.

Here is a link for instructions on how to make your own table. I have not done this but it certainly seems easy enough if you are a bit handy with tools. Or know someone who is! Just another idea for you.

Are you looking for just a tabletop extension that slides on to the end of your machine? Or are you asking about a table that you drop your machine into?

I had the tabletop kind for a while, till my shouders couldn't handle the height of a regular table anymore. I found a used Janome brand sewing table and love, love, love it. It wasn't cheap, but cheaper than a new one. It has the 36 " measure painted on, plus a little drawer and a shelf which are oh-so-handy.
