I found out the store in Roanoke, VA is liquidating because they will be moving and opening a new superstore at Tower Road Mall. Guess this may be the reason.

Wish I had bought shares when they were lower. Oh well.

i know!!!! I couldn't believe that. I found that out the day after Thanksgiving. They've added to the store here in Trotwood (where i live) and i'm glad, because i thought it was going to close (like so much on this end of town)

When I graduated college (1982) I worked for the original owner and founder of JoAnn Fabrics in Cleveland. She was quite elderly at the time - her children ran the company - she just managed one of the stores. Very interesting woman from the old country!!

I think it said they want to go private to increase the number of outlets for competition. In that case, the prices are going to get better! I know the one in Spokane, WA remodeled to increase size and quantity and quality of items not to mention variety. Really happy here!!!

Well, since they are taking the company private, they won't have to be concerned about paying dividends to stockholders. I think that is a positive thing.

Thanks. We are looking for a new puppy now. But since we will be gone for a month in May/June, we are trying to hold off. Thanks for your kindness. We sure are dog lovers, quilt lovers, cat lovers

I decided to go out of my box of colors and go aqua blue and browns....
I love those colors. Can't wait to see pictures of your project!!

so sorry to hear of your pup passing away, I'm sure he is somewhere on the rainbow bridge running around with all of the other great pets that have gone before us.
