Joann's black friday sales?

Just a general comment regarding JoAnn's coupons, they usually do not let you "double up". That means you cannot use a coupon on a discounted item or two different coupons on the same item. Also, jeanne307, they usually will not let you use coupons on sewing machines or other higher priced items. So read the fine print carefully before you make a long trip.

The first of this month, the 4th, 5th and 6th, in the Oct 30- Nov 12 flyer they had a for friends and for you coupons for 25% off the total purchase, including sale items, there were usual exclusions like electronic sewing machines, AccuQuilt Go and products etc. However, it intrigued me that it included 25% off every in-store purchase INCLUDING sale items.
I like warm and natural batting and it was on sale for 50% off making it $5.99 a yard then 25% off of that made it $4.49 a yard. (For all the math whiz's out there I've taken those numbers straight from the receipt :0) Needless to say I purchased a whole bolt. Their soft and comfy fabrics which is their Minky equivalent was on sale reg $14.99 on sale for $8.99 less the 25% off coupon.
So November 4th was my Black Friday. I detest crowds and the uncommon rudeness that sometimes accompanies usually polite and courteous people, when tempers are short and people are tired (clerks and customers alike). Just watching the evening news on Black Fridays is enough to remind me why I stay safely within the confines of my home on that day.

Not going, I detest crowds and heavy traffic. Very claustophobic. I too went a couple weeks(sort of a pre-black friday sale) earlier when batting was 50% off plus additional 20% off total purchase. I stocked up then. Good luck to all who brave it. I hope you get a good deal and stay safe.

I went to this sale at the Ontario, CA Joanns on Nov 5th and it was worse than any BF I have ever been to. I was in the cut queue for over an hour. Would have been there another hour except my friend stood in the register queue just before my turn to cut. That being said, I can't wait for the BF sales. I already have my shopping list ready!
