    Default Juki F600 Throat Size

I'm considering a Juki F600 for piecing and bag construction. I think it should be able to handle thick seams, which is my primary concern at this point.

I don't have a dealer locally, and I've looked through all the Juki brochures but I'm unable to find out how wide the throat is. If you have one, could you possibly measure it for me?

Any opinions on the machine are also welcome!

    Thanks!

    Hi Lynda,
I have the F600. Its 7 3/4" right of the needle. This is a wonderful machine. I bought mine sight unseen based on good reviews. I use it for piecing and prefer it over any other machine I have had for piecing, which includes the Bernina 450 and, Janome Horizon 7700. The box feeding system it has makes it piece as well as a Singer 301, which was my previous favorite for piecing. I highly recommend it.

I have had my eye on this machine forever. I will no doubt own one someday.

The harp size on this machine is 8 inches wide and 4.5 inches tall.

Thank you so much! I have the 7700 and I love it except for the issue going over seams. I'm going to go ahead and order the F600. I've heard so many good things about it and the 7 3/4" is plenty of room for piecing and some quilting.

I can't wait to get it!

    Thanks again!

Not only did I order it, but SewingMachinesPlus.com had a coupon for 5% off (use coupon code fivepercent) and free shipping. Woo hoo!
