Default Juki mini 2200 help needed

I致e a juki mini 2200 which I知 using on a frame. At the moment when I知 stitching I知 getting good top stitches but underneath is a rats nest of top threads. Has anyone any idea what I知 doing wrong? Thanks.

It is usually top tension if you have loops on the back tighten your top tension

Clean the machine very well and adjust your tensions, if needed. I had problems with that with mine and it was some combination of those 2 things that solved it. Be sure to look for any tiny pieces of thread caught in the bobbin area. I have a really bright little LED flashlight that I use that really helps.

I found that my 2200 Mini doesn't like some threads as well as others, but with some experimenting I can get it to sew well with most thread.

Perhaps rethread the machine too... to make sure the thread is going through all the tension discs, etc.

Oh, yes, good point, SBG. Careful re threading is always a good idea.

Having had a total nightmare with quilting because I forgot to lower the presser foot it's something I double check, thanks for the reminder.

same here and I still sometimes forget if I’m fmq on my PQ1500
