Default Just can't cut it!

I bought this piece of fabric at the Quilt Canada show and I love it.
I love to take it out and look at it.
I've seen a number of patterns I could use it for.
But, I just can't bring myself to cut into it.
Anyone else have fabric like that? Or am I the only crazy pretty fabric hoarder?
Let's see pics of your can't-bear-to-cut-it fabrics! (Unless I'm the only one)

Gorgeous fabric Watson! I have several stacks of fabric that I have yet to cut into. Even bought a pattern that I think was called Just Can't Cut This, or something to that effect. It didn't help, I still couldn't cut into that "special" fabric.

That is beautiful! I couldn't cut it either. It would make a back for me. After I had it for several years and finished looking and petting it.

Yes, I have a couple of pieces of fabric that I can’t cut. Your fabric doesn’t need to be cut. It looks finished as it is. Maybe use it as a backing on a quilt that could be either front or back? Clear as mud? I mean the backing could be also used in the same manner as a front usually would be.

Yes, I have a few of those pieces of fabric. I get them out from time to time and look through patterns, lots of them in magazines, online, etc. However, so far none have lived up to what I think is appropriate for the fabric. I hate it when that happens. There is probably no real hope for this dilemma.

Oh I agree with you- way too pretty to cut up.
I can look to see if I have anything but I really don't have the time today so can I pass?

Tartan- Jinny's fabrics are to die for!!!!!!! That's a good example.

I have several that I can't/won't cut up.

1) They are pretty as is - and why not enjoy them that way?

2) I am reasonably sure that I would not be able to replace them.

3) I have "other" fabrics that I could use.

I like the idea of using it as a backing because then you could turn the quilt over sometimes and enjoy the full view of your special piece.
