I have Fons and Porter on my DVR. You can keep all the episodes by selecting from your menu.

If you know the name of the show, go to the search function and put the name in, then it will show what channel(s) it is on. You can find the Search function under the menu button on your remote.
OK I did what you said and it only tells you if there are such shows on right now.

Is there not a TV guide on there by week we can search?

I know that our PBS out of SC has quilting shows on Saturday mornings but not sure about anything else the rest of the week with direct tv.

The menu button will take you to smart search where you can type in the name of shows and it will tell you when they are on.
You also have an option for customizing your own channel line up. I named mine Rose and eliminated all channels that I dont watch, sports, pay per view, etc. I think there are 3 different set ups.
One I use for just kids shows for when they visit me.
I love this feature and it sure saves on channel surfing.
You get there from the parental controls option but it takes a few steps to get there. You just put a check mark in for the channels you want on that lineup.
Once it is set up all you need do to change the lineup from one to another is to press the yellow button and you will see the different lineups you have made up.
cisurz, did you get to the alphabet table where you punch in the letters of the show you are looking for? Cause I get a weeks worth of future show times.

I didn't realize you could search by word. I'm learning more every day. Thanks!
I tried the general keyword search on Quilt and then on Quilting, but found nothing.

I tried the keyword search and selected the venue General Interest and found 27 shows (some duplicates). I selected them all and will filter out the ones I don't need.

I'm going to try Quilt under then venue Arts and Crafts to see what shows up.

Thanks to all of you for your suggestions.

You really need to put in the name of the show you are looking for.
If it starts with quilt fine but other wise you wont find anything.
Fons and Porter are on the byu channel alot.
Some of the other shows that are on PBS are not on that often. Like Quilting Arts, a show I dont consider is even about quilting.
