How wonderful for you. My sister loves her Bernina, it is older (she bought it new in the early to mid. 1980's) but I think I'm allergic to it. Something ALWAYS goes wrong when I try to use it. lol oh well at least it works for her and she's happy with it:) Hope you enjoy yours lots!

Congratulations on your Bernina! I have owned 7 different models and loved them all:730(old),807minimatic,150 PE and 140PE; they have all gone to good homes.
I currently own a 930 and 1031; both still sew like new. My 1031 was my first good machine; it replaced a horrible Singer 6212 that was bought new in 1986.

I have the Bernina 730 and the 830 and I am still doing
classes. I have a fantastic dealer and Wednesday we are
making embroidery lace and Saturday we are doing a Christmas
ornament in applique. I love working with all these people
because I learn from them and use my machine more.I love
my quilt frame but want to improve on my free motion as I
have the Bernina frame. Wished I could get the Q-bot but I
have spent all I can. Would like ideas on improving my free
motion.

Hi, Happy you got a Bernina for your self. I bought myself one about 10 years ago as a graduation present from me to me. I love it and happy to say I never have problems with my machine. I can quilt and do what I want with it and just consult the manual from time to time. Have fun

Most any Bernina is great, but the repair men LOVE the old 830. I dug mine out the other day to use and was amazed at how quiet and smooth it was. Did get a new 350E Janome Embroidery only today just because it was newer to work with newer computers, etc. Will play with it tomorrow. Have a 170 Bernina also and it is great, but just 10 years old.
