    I actually like the wider border better, perhaps not quite as wide as six inches but wider than the three. What I generally do is lay the border fabric out on the table, lay the quilt top on top of them and then just keep rearranging the widths till I hit the sweet spot! Measure where you end up and you're good to go! I always think the quilt knows what size of a border it wants and will tell you if you lay it out like this. Love your quilt. Good job!

    I see a lot of white. Do you have enough blue to audition a border made of that?

    Try a 41/2" border to see if it is visually more pleasing.
