Default Keeping computerized sewing machine on or off

I am sure it has been discussed in the past, but I really like to have your input. Do you leave your computerized sewing machine on or off if you stop sewing for a few minutes to do pressing or some additional cutting? Thanks for your replies.

On. I turn it off when I am finished sewing what needs to be done. Most times if I have been sewing and then need to make dinner and I know I will finish the sewing after dinner, I will turn it off, but every once in a while I see I forget to.

I agree with patsan and QuiltnNan. I leave it on for brief breaks (1/2 hour or less), and turn it off for long ones.

Same here. I leave it on, but if I'm going to go do something else then I turn it off. And, I always unplug it when I'm done with it just in case.

when I turn my machine on I usually leave it on for the day if I am working on something all day. It will be on without sewing for 15 minutes to an hour depending on what I am doing. When I think I am calling it a day then I shut it off

My Bernina has a Eco button that puts the machine to sleep and saves whatever was set. A very nice feature so you don't have to reset stitch and needle position every time you leave the machine for other tasks.
