I keep mine as I never know when I am going to need a special gift and I want have to run out and buy more fabric for that special project. I also have a lot of crafts, painting and flower gardening. I love reading and making clothes for myself and my DGD's. I never stop at any of the things I love doing, I just work on the things I feel in the mood for at the time.

I have some fabric I'm not sure if I want to keep or not. I purchased some space bags and stuffed them full, sucked the air out and was amazed at how small the pile got. It's now under the bed and I wrote a note and pinned it to my bulletin board which is above my desk. That way I won't forget it's there and what's in it so if I decide I "need" it I'll have it. After a few months or so if I haven't used it I will donate it.

I have read lots of suggestions to gift it or donate it, and those are fine ideas. However, I would like to add the option of selling it here on the board. A lot of us do quilt for various causes and an opportunity to buy fabrics at a very reasonable price could be a godsend.
Even if you hold on to it for 6 months or a year first, many of us enjoy shopping here on the board.
