Does anybody know if there is any talk about converting the quilt magazines into Kindle versions? With the new color kindle for $199 it would certainly be a good idea and I would love to have those magazines in my Kindle.

I think this is a great idea! I was just searching the Amazon site this morning for quilt magazines.

I have resisted buying a Kindle b/c I don't read too much anymore. I listen to audio books while I quilt and keep another in the car. However, if I could get my magazines on a Kindle, I would buy one in a heartbeat. It would be so wonderful to eliminate all that clutter!!!

I hear you about the clutter. I currently have at least 10 boxes of old magazines. going to go thru them and see about getting rid of them, might try on this board.

I normally scan what I want out of my magazines to get rid of them to prevent build up. I think quilting magazines would be wonderful with the exception if there is a pattern for applique--how would you get it?? I love my kindle and love magazines on my kindle but I don't know about crafting ones.

I currently am subscribed to Fons and Porter Digital Quilting magazine. And I LOVE it.....can read the entire magazine on line and store. Also have access to past issues which is outstanding. and No Clutter.....If there is a pattern that I like, then you just dowload and print the exact pages you need......It would truly be great if ALL the quilt magazines would give us this option....Less trees down and less for the post office to not do.....

I think they could put the patterns up on the internet maybe under password protected that you only get from the magazine or something along those lines...I don't know how that would work but surely there is a way around it.
