Labor Day weekend quilting...what are you working on???
#101
I am working on a quilt for a baby to be born next month. Have a pattern that calls for 36 (4.5" sq) with a floral leaf in each one so 4 blocks together have a pinwheel of 4 different pastel colors. I have them all cut and heat & bonded to the edge of the blocks. I am trying to applique the raw curved edges and they are turning out horrible! I have a Pfaff. What settings should I use with a zig zag stitch to make a satin stiches smooth? What kind of thread and bobbin thread is best??? Thanks for your help! Grinster

Finished the binding on one granddaughter's quilt last night & had to run & get more material for binding the other granddaughter's & will finish that today. Next I need to start cutting out a D9P for my grandson. All are Christmas gifts

I'm quilting a baby quilt with Farm-All fabrics. Its time to get it finished as his birthday is the 16th and I need to get it to MA before then Fooled around with my Brother 1500 and gave up trying to get the tensions adjusted, so am doing it on the Brother 9000. Going like a silk purse! I'll post when I'm finished.

I am looking at all the stitching that must be going on all across the United States and around the world this holiday weekend and am AMAZED. One can almost hear the whir of machines and scritching of thread passing through cloth. You are all laboring with love this Labor Day!
I am working on a double Irish chain in greens and florals (scrappy) for a friend of many years. All this, so I can sew up all my fabrics for FUN. So I can buy more, of course. Keep stitching!!
