I hope that this didn't post twice. My daughter just gave me a new granddaughter in February, so I thought I would give her a lap quilt. When
she saw it she said, "Oh Mom, you have to make it to
fit my bed". I am just getting into this quilting thing, so I really didn't need to hear queen size please. I made the top and had the LQS quilt it for me. I have SITD some baby quilts, but no way was I going to tackle a QS on my domestic machine (maybe later). I am going to try to post a picture so let me know what you think

I think those border additions look like you intended them to be there all along. It nicely frames the center.
Great color/value choices too. I really like the designs - the HST's and striped stripped inner border you made.

    And congratulations on the grandbaby!

Nice job and it really does not not like it was an afterthought to make it bigger! You pulled it off nicely!

The quilt does not look like you have just gotten into quilting, it is beautiful.

Oh you did a GREAT job expanding it! You'd never guess it wasn't designed to be that big. Love that pattern, too.
