I was wondering about doing that. I don't commonly store blocks except on the design wall, but I store a lot of my yardage on hangers in the closet. It seems like this would be a handy solution and would keep the block out of the way.

For Barn Star, I used pieces of foam board. I make my own design boards using a no hot glue method as they finish much nicer, IMO, and I can make them large enough to lay out these large blocks. A couple of them right sides together store finished blocks. If I am traveling, like to a sewing day or retreat, I lay out some blocks on my design boards, one more board on top of that with finished blocks, and another upside down. Then I tie a long length of grosgrain ribbon around the stack (it's about 4" tall).
