LED lightpad-Artograph 930 vs Litup A4?
Has anyone used either one or both of these LED lightpads? I'm having ergonomic issues with using the window as a light box, and trying to decide which LED lightpad to buy. Also unsure of what size of either brand to buy. I want to use it for applique and medallion style quilts. I have vision issues as well, and thought that maybe the adjustable lights on the LED Litups might be an advantage over the LED Artographs, which only have one setting. Thanks!

I have not used either of those brands, but do have one called Light Master LM-303 12"x17". It comes with a 12 volt DC connector & 100-240 volt AC adaptor unit. I like it very much and have used it for applique projects. Its nice and bright but easy on the eyes.

My LQS started carrying a light box of some kind, looks like an enormous iPad. I have no idea what brand it is. I choked when I saw the price. My dining table is wood, so I pull it apart as if I was going to insert the center leaf, stick a piece of framing glass over it, and put a lamp under it. Voila - instant light box.

Cotton Mama, what made you decide to go with the Artograph litepad? I am debating between the Artograph and Litup litepads, it's hard to make a decision! The Litup is less money and lighter weight than the Artograph and has dimmable lights. However, I'm not sure if it is easy to mess with the dimmer button by mistake. The Artograph is proven over time and very sturdy (they demonstrate that on the Artograph website by jumping on it!) and has an on/off button. Do you wish the Artograph had adjustable light settings like the Litup? Does it matter, as you would only use the highest setting anyways? Thanks!

I bought the largest size led light pad I could find on Amazon. It was much cheaper than anywhere else, and has been invaluable. Mine does have an adjustable light, which is useful when I want to see what I'm doing on the top layer. It's only 1/2" thick. I don't recall what brand, though.
