Leftover Muslin

When I am trying a new bag or purse pattern, especially one that has some complexities to it I use muslin for a practice one. The finished test bag gets used for travel, for toiletries, mobile phone/ iPad cords, jewelry, etc.

I cut them into squares for the foundation of string blocks. For the strings I cut leftover fabrics from projects into 2 1/2" strips. This way I use up leftover pieces of muslin and leftover from projects.
