I hate being told what to do. That's how one of my quilts is named "You can't put orange with that"..of course there's plenty of orange in it.
Oh, that is who they are.....I love breaking the rules just to see what the "outcome" (fine) will be like!
Isn't that half the fun?

The quilt police I DON'T listen to - those who criticize my color choice.

The quilt police I DO listen to (I'm one of them) - the ones who say it DOES matter if corners don't meet or triangle points are chopped off. The ones who say that hand quilting SHOULD be even and that appliqued pieces should NOT have stitches so far apart that each one makes a little point...OK I'm on my soapbox now!

I look at the quilt police as helpers. If I have messed up, I want to know. They can always do it in a kind way, make suggestions, not criticize. If I don't like their suggestions I can always do it the way I want to... good or bad, it is my choice.

I have too many other people in my mind to add quilt police hehehe. The way I look at it is, in quilting, there are no rules. Its about freedom of expression, you never know what you might come up with! :D
