Use it as your signature block. Using a pigma pen sign the mistake and date it.

Oh, for heaven's sake. Life is too short to worry about something like that. I'm sure the baby will never notice. I have IMPORTANT things to worry about--you know, like space invaders landing and conquering humankind!

Kidding aside, I gave up perfectionism when a friend pointed out that a perfectionist is someone who is always looking for the flaw.

Hey, I wasn't riding a horse, and until you pointed (what you call a mistake) I couldn't find it. Nobody will complain about "your mistake" especially if you don't tell them. Don't fret about it. The kids will LOVE it.

I couldn't find it and neither will the recipient. It is an adorable quilt and should have a lovely home. Stop being so hard on yourself:-)

So, when I finished the quilt top for my nephew just before dinner one night, I thought it would be perfect to finish the other top up that night before I had to quilt my nephew's quilt the next morning. I have learned my lesson on doing late night piecing.

The worst part?? First, I've been under the weather this week, so I should've known better than to quilt while I wasn't on top of my game. If I had waited until next week, I probably would've noticed the mistake at some point, in one of the stages that leads to the finished project. I finished that quilt top late at night, folded it up and set it aside. Then, today, I pressed it, pinned it and quilted it. Then, I bound it. And, as I was spraying water on my water-soluable pen markings, I realized my mistake!! Grrrr! This is killing my perfectionist side. How did I miss this??
Perhaps the perfectionist side of you that makes you miserable over such an insignificant matter should disappear! Let it go. The recipient will love the quilt just as it is. froggyintexas

I just made a baby quilt with 2 errors in it. So, you're doing fine!
A dose of humility is the best remedy for a practicing perfectionist : ) Then, we take on a new project and quickly recover.
The quilt you made is darling!

you had to point it out, I would never have noticed. When you have the quilt on the bed, it's pointing one way, and to be perfectly honest, no one will know that you did not intend it that way. It looks great!!
