I would look at http://freemotionquilting.blogspot.c...er-flower.html Leah Day has ton of videos about free motion quilting as well as tons of other tips and ideas. The best part is that it is all free.

I have taken both of Jenny Doan's classes and thought it well worth the price. The problem with you tube is that the video's are usually short and sweet. I would like and need more detail which is what I got with the Craftsy site as well as the ability to send in questions and get replies.
Saw the offer for the FMQ and after the various comments of those here who have signed up for it, I think I'll do it.
Besides the Craftsy site with the lower price, I also got the special offer from the Fons and Porter site.

I really like the craftsy classes with Jenny Doan.
Watching Irena Bluhm on TheQuiltingSchool.com was what enabled me to finally "get it," after many hours of drawing feathers on scrap paper and dry erase boards. Once I saw it, the light bulb went on. "Ahhhhhh..... *that's* how it goes!"
If you're a visual learner, especially a beginner, this class on craftsy may be exactly what you need to take all the mystery out of this process. That's well worth $30, IMO. If you understand the concepts and the flow of tasks, then all you have to do is practice. :)
