these are a flat washer that goes in your machine underneath your bobbin :D:D:D

They have the M size available too. I don't think they will work for plastic bobbins. The Bernina dealer here sells them.

My Singer had plastic bobbins, op loading, no bobbin case, and they work just fine in it. Helped heaps with preventing bird nests with FMQ.

Good to know. I have a Singer Quantum so I'll give the Genie a try in it.

I was told not to remove the metal spring inside the bobbin case, but I tried the bobbin washer and kept getting thread breakage. Removing the spring seems like it would work better, since there's no added tension against the bobbin that way.

What is the point of the Genie bobbin washers? Do they solve some common problem?

After seeing this topic yesterday, I went out to Lowes and bought some nylon washers I got 4 of them for 64 cents. They seem to be working. I believe the ones mentioned in this topic were 6 for 13.00. I would sugest people try Lowes or Home depot first.
