A little help fixing machine?
#11
thank you, the guy who repaired my machine did in fact get it working again but before I gave it to him to repair there was a quirky issue with it I had already made a thread about before this one. (oops, didn't realize)
The issue was basically that the shuttle hook would not catch the upper thread if the material was too thick, and I fixed it by adjusting the needle position all the way to the right to make the hook timing a little sooner so there's no way it would miss the thread and I was able to manually crank the handwheel all the way until the sewing job on the thick material was done. I tailored my coat! Completely tailored, first time using a machine and doing something of such a big job and it came out great. Looks exactly like it did before just shorter and thinner. Was a lot of work because as you know winter coats have batting in them and such.
